Defensive Driving Participation:
DelawareDriverSafety.com is the product of over 10 years of years of online course provider experience. The course reading is engaging and not just statistic after statistic. We have included videos, animations and details you wouldn't just get from the Delaware driver handbook. We have developed this program to teach you a few defensive driving techniques that you may have never learned or simply just forgotten. The course is easy to use, and easy to pass, allowing you multiple attempts to pass each quiz and examination.
Course Timers
The State of Delaware does require that you spend at least 6 or 3 hours of course participation depending on which course you select (either the basic defensive driving course or the refresher course). To ensure this requirement is met, the course programming includes onscreen timers to remind you of how much time is left in each section of reading.
Certificate Details / Completion:
Upon course completion, our staff will process and email your certificate of completion to you using the email address you provided during registration. This certificate will be delivered as a .PDF file within 48 hours after you have completed the course, unless you select the immediate certificate delivery option (this option is available during registration). It is your responsibility to get your Delaware defensive driving certificate of completion to your insurance agent for the insurance reduction. Our company will report your completion electronically to the State for the 3 point credit on your Delaware driving record. If you have an out of State license, sorry, but we will be unable to issue a point credit for your driving record, but you may be entitled to the insurance reduction.

DelawareDriverSafety.com is approved by the Delaware Department of Motor Vehicles as an online defensive driving provider. Our company offers both the six (6) hour basic defensive driving course and the three (3) hour refresher defensive driving course. Completion of the basic defensive driving (6 hour) course will allow you to receive a 10% reduction on your insurance for three years. If you take a refresher (3 hour) Defensive Driving Course within 180 days of the end of the three-year period, you may receive a 15 percent discount on your insurance. Completion of the basic defensive driving course will also entitle you to a 3 point credit on your Delaware driving record.
